Rally Stops

The Great Ohio Climate March kicks off with a rally on May 16 in central Athens.

Come help us celebrate the start of the march!  The rally will include a proclamation by the Athens mayor, as well as other speakers and entertainment.

Join us at Salt Fork State Park for a day of fun, games, activities, and learning opportunities.

We’ll start off with some music and a couple of speakers before transitioning into interactive mini-teach-in sessions on topics relevant to our march such as fracking of our public lands, plastics, and current, related legislation.  Throughout the afternoon we’ll also have tabling by organizations, earth related crafts and games.

The Great Ohio Climate March will come to an end at the Statehouse in Columbus with a rally and celebration.  Speakers & entertainers will include activists, elected officials, scientists and singer/musicians.  The rally will follow the 2.8 mile walk down Broad Street, which all are encouraged to join.  Following the rally we will be visiting our state legislators to talk with them about
